These high quality postcard feature a line and wash drawing of Ludwig van Beethoven (1770 - 1827), who remains one of the most famous and influential composers. Born in Bonn, he moved to Vienna when he was 21 to study composition with Joseph Haydn and gained a reputation as a virtuoso pianist. Many of his most admired work was composed during the last 15 years of life. For the last decade of his life he was profoundly deaf. The original painting by Royden Price was inspired by his love of Classical Music.
