This painting by Royden Price was inspired by a black and white photograph of Presteigne Railway Station. Royden moved from Birmingham to Presteigne in 1972. The railway line was closed in 1964 so the line and station had gone by the time the family settled in Presteigne. A by-pass now runs close to where the track ran. This image is part of The Royden Price Collection, sold exclusively through Dormouse Cards.
